Privacy Policy

What data we collect, why, who can see it, and how you can have it deleted.

Short version: we collect only what we need to match a tutor and keep children safe. Your data is never sold. A tutor’s CNIC is never shown to parents. You can ask us on WhatsApp to delete your data at any time.

1. Who is responsible

Qutbnuma, a sole proprietorship of Muhammad Shaniyal, Karachi. For any privacy question, contact our official WhatsApp (see Contact below).

2. How your data reaches us

The forms on this website do not save data on any server. When you press “Send on WhatsApp”, WhatsApp opens on your own phone or computer and you send the message yourself. Your data reaches us only when you send that message, or when you message or call us directly.

3. What data we collect

Parents

  • Name, phone or WhatsApp number, area and block or landmark
  • The child’s class or level, board, subjects and the number of children
  • Home or online, tutor preference (female, male or any), days and time, budget (optional), notes
  • After confirmation: the home address (for home tuition), the Order ID and the payment reference or screenshot

Tutors

  • Name, phone, gender, areas, subjects and levels, qualification, experience, home or online, expected fee, availability
  • During checks: CNIC copy, latest degree or result, contact details of 2 references, interview notes, police character certificate (optional)
  • Payment references (when a tutor sends Qutbnuma’s share)

Website

We use no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep ordinary technical logs for security (for example IP address and browser type). Pages load the Figtree typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google’s font servers.

4. Why we use it

  • To match the right tutor and make the introduction
  • To check tutors and keep children safe
  • To contact you on WhatsApp, arrange the demo and follow up
  • To keep payment records by Order ID
  • To answer complaints and meet legal requirements

5. Who can see it

  • Qutbnuma (the founder and any authorised team member), only as the work requires.
  • Parents are given the tutor’s name, gender, qualification, experience, subjects, areas and fee. Never the CNIC (copy or number).
  • The tutor is given the parent’s name, area, the child’s class and subjects, and the timing. After the demo is arranged or tuition is confirmed: the phone number and, for home tuition, the address.
  • References: we ask the references a tutor gives us about that tutor.
  • Legal requirement: if the law or an authority formally requires it.
  • We never sell your data or give it to anyone for marketing.

6. CNIC and documents

Tutors’ CNICs and documents are collected only for checking, kept private, never uploaded to the website and never shared with parents. CNIC copies and documents are deleted 12 months after a tutor leaves the panel (we keep them that long because of the 12-month rule and possible safety complaints). A tutor who wants them deleted sooner can ask on WhatsApp and we will delete them, unless a complaint or payment dispute is still open.

7. Children’s information

We collect only the information about children that we need (class, subjects, needs). We do not need children’s photos or documents; please do not send them.

8. Third-party services

  • WhatsApp (Meta): all our conversations happen on WhatsApp, and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting.
  • Google Fonts: the website typeface.
  • Your bank or JazzCash: for your own payment transactions.

9. Keeping and deleting data

We keep data only as long as the service needs it. You can ask at any time by writing “Delete my data” on WhatsApp; we will delete it and confirm within 15 days, except records we must keep for payments or legal reasons (for example the Order ID and payment details).

10. Your rights

  • The right to see your data (access) and to have wrong data corrected
  • The right to have your data deleted (see above)
  • The right to withdraw permission to contact you: just tell us on WhatsApp

11. Law

We follow the laws of Pakistan, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, which makes it an offence to use someone’s identity information without permission, and the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014. This policy may be updated; the new policy will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
